Hand-harvested highland rice, red and black hill rice and highland salt from the Baram uplands, packed in Miri.
This collective of around 30 farming households in the Baram highlands grows heirloom rice in small wet fields and hill plots without heavy machinery. Rice is flown or trucked down to Miri, where it is cleaned, checked and vacuum packed in a shared workspace. The range includes a fine white highland rice, red and black hill rice, and mineral salt boiled from a highland spring.
Buyers are restaurants serving Sarawak food, hotel outlets and specialty grocers, mostly in Miri, Kuching and Kuala Lumpur. Supply follows one harvest a year, so regular buyers are asked to commit volumes in advance.
