Fresh goat milk, plain yogurt and goat milk kefir from a family farm in Bachok, for cafés and health stores in Kelantan.
Pak Su Hamdan keeps about 120 Saanen and Jamnapari crossbreed goats on a smallholding outside Bachok. Milk is pasteurised on the farm each morning and bottled in 1 litre and 250 ml bottles, with plain yogurt and kefir made in small batches twice a week.
Buyers are mainly cafés, smoothie bars and health food shops in Kota Bharu, plus a few home bakers who use goat milk in cookies and kuih. Deliveries go out in an insulated van on Tuesdays and Fridays. Supply dips in the dry months, so customers on standing orders get first allocation.
