Paper straws and wooden cutlery made and packed in Taiping for cafés, bubble tea shops and event caterers.
Sedut started in 2019 as several states moved away from plastic straws, and now runs four straw-winding machines in a small factory in Taiping. It makes paper straws in regular, cocktail and wide bubble tea sizes, individually wrapped or in bulk, and packs wooden spoons, forks and stirrers bought from a local maker.
Cafés, bubble tea outlets, hotels and event caterers make up most orders. Plain straws ship from stock, while printed wrappers with a café's own design start from 20,000 pieces. Orders go out by courier nationwide.
