Charcoal-roasted kopi powder and Ipoh-style white coffee beans for kopitiams, hawkers and drinks stalls in Perak.
Liew Brothers roasts robusta and liberica in two charcoal-fired drums at a shophouse factory in Ipoh's Pasir Pinji area. The traditional kopi roast uses margarine and sugar; the white coffee roast uses margarine only, for a lighter cup. Powder is ground to order for sock brewing.
Most customers are kopitiams, economy rice shops and drinks stalls across Perak, with a smaller number in Penang and the Klang Valley. The company's own van delivers twice a week around Ipoh, Kampar and Taiping, and orders elsewhere go by courier. Blends can be adjusted for strength and the ratio of robusta to liberica.
