UNOX Malaysia: Commercial Oven Prices and Buying Guide
Explore UNOX ovens in Malaysia, CHEFTOP prices, local support and the questions to ask before buying for a restaurant, café or bakery.
Choosing a commercial oven starts with the food you need to serve, the size of each batch and the space available in your kitchen. UNOX is one of the brands Malaysian restaurant, café and bakery operators can consider, with a range spanning compact baking equipment, restaurant combi ovens and faster-service cooking systems.
This guide explains the main product families, gives examples of Malaysian advertised prices and sets out what to check before requesting a quotation. It is based on published information, rather than a hands-on equipment test.
What is UNOX?
UNOX is an Italian professional-oven manufacturer founded in 1990. Its early equipment focused on baking frozen bread and croissants, before the company expanded into wider professional cooking applications. Today, its range serves both foodservice and bakery operations. Read the company history.
For a Malaysian buyer, the useful question is which model fits the kitchen's work. A convection oven for bake-off production and a combi oven for a restaurant are different purchases, even when they carry the same brand.
Which UNOX oven range should you look at?
CHEFTOP and CHEFTOP-X are restaurant-oriented combi-oven ranges. Combi cooking uses hot air, steam or a combination of both, allowing a kitchen to handle different cooking methods in one chamber.
BAKERTOP and BAKERTOP-X focus on bakery and pastry production. Check tray dimensions as well as tray count: bakery trays and restaurant GN trays are not interchangeable size descriptions.
BAKERLUX SHOP.Pro is worth looking at for retail baking and café bake-off workflows. SPEED-X and SPEED.Pro address faster cooking and service needs. Check the particular model's cooking modes, capacity and utilities before treating it as an alternative to a full-size combi oven. Explore the Malaysian product range.
Some advanced models use Digital.ID, which supports cloud-saved cooking programmes and settings. This can help standardise recipes across operators or compatible equipment, but connectivity and functions must be checked against the exact model and service plan. See the CHEFTOP-X and BAKERTOP-X manual.
How much do UNOX ovens cost in Malaysia?
The following are manufacturer-advertised Malaysian prices checked on 4 November 2026. They are examples, not quotations for an installed kitchen.
- CHEFTOP MIND.Maps PLUS, XEVC-0711-EPRM: RM40,943 for an electric model with seven GN 1/1 trays. The manufacturer excludes tax and shipping from the displayed price. Model details and price.
- CHEFTOP-X, XEDA-0611-EXRS: RM55,363 for an electric model with six GN 1/1 trays. The listing excludes tax. CHEFTOP-X Malaysian range.
These are different model families with different capacities. The price gap should not be read as a like-for-like performance comparison. Supplier discounts, accessories, installation and stock can also change the final amount payable.
Ask for a written quotation showing the model code and everything included. Separate the oven price from the stand, trays, water treatment, delivery, installation, commissioning and training. Confirm the applicable Malaysian tax treatment with the seller.
What should a Malaysian kitchen check before buying?
Start with your peak service. Give the supplier your menu, portion sizes and busiest service volume. Ask to cook a representative batch using your own ingredients and trays. Check the result across the chamber and the time needed to load, unload and prepare the next batch.
Match the oven to the premises. Confirm the electrical phase, voltage, connected load, water supply, drainage, ventilation, clearance and access requirements for the exact model. Have the installer assess the site before placing an order.
Price the daily routine. Find out how cleaning works, which chemicals or consumables are required, and what scheduled maintenance costs. Ask what happens if a component fails during your busiest week.
Make training part of the handover. Have the supplier programme a few real menu items and train the staff who will operate and clean the oven. Saved recipes only help if the loading pattern, ingredients and working procedures are consistent.
Buying through a dealer: what to ask
Request the seller's warranty terms in writing, including the parts and labour covered, the service area and any exclusions. Ask who performs repairs in your state, how call-outs are charged and whether commonly needed parts are stocked locally. Check the supplied unit's serial number and registration requirements at handover.

Its support information describes authorised service partners and maintenance options. Confirm the arrangements for your location and model directly; a published support contact does not establish a guaranteed response time. UNOX Malaysia support.
Is UNOX worth shortlisting?
UNOX is worth evaluating when its oven size, cooking functions and support arrangements fit your operation. Compare the exact proposed model with alternatives using the same tray format, fuel type, intended output and complete installation scope.
The decision should come down to a menu trial, an itemised quotation and a workable service plan. Those give a restaurant or bakery a stronger basis for buying than a brand ranking alone.
